Outstanding For The Cost - Cool Headphones Review

By Nathan Taylor

I can feel the volume buttons, but have to work at it. If the buttons were raised above the case and separated, it would help. The size of the buttons and their labeling are so small that anyone over 40 will have serious issues about using them. I use the earphones to watch TV while my wife is using the regular TV speakers. I get both sounds but at slightly different moments in time. To do this, with the base and headset both in the off/standby mode, press and hold the on/off buttons on both units for approximately seven seconds. If you find that only one of your headsets will work at a time, inspect the base and see if the bottom light is flashing more than once or only once. I would still recommend these headphones even with the few negatives it has. With what really counts for me is quality construction, comfort and excellent sound reproduction, these headphones have it.

They do not dwell on the surround sound capability. But, I have found the surround sound to be incredible. So I bought these because the RF headset that I normally use was starting to break down physically. I had used it for years with no real problem. First let me tell you the good things. Yes, the quality of the sound is excellent. I had some reservations on these after reading some of the reviews saying that they are small or snug, because I have a ginormous head. My hat size is about 8 1/8, and I'm 6'8 so I'm just a large person in general.

The only thing coming through the headphones is a beautiful reproduction of the source material. The sound coming through these FAR surpasses anything coming out of my VIZIO Class XVT Series TruLED XVT472SV 47-Inch 240 Hz SPS LCD HDTV (Black). Sennheiser RS 180 Digital Wireless Headphone RS 180 has a brilliant sound quality compatible to high end professional, wired system. Comfortable fit for prolong usage. The one characteristic that was accurate in my experience when using them was regarding the control bottoms in the headset. They are difficult to feel and distinguish; a really small inconvenience considering the remarkable performance of the product.

I haven't used them in the basement yet but I will next time I do my laundry. I forgot the last 2 times.

Also the RS180's fit on her head better than the RS120s which were always loose (and would fall off when she looked down quickly). In my opinion The RS180s are worth the extra $.

While all genres sounded better than I have ever heard on a headphone, I found orchestra music to benefit the most from these. Male sure to check your/source.
