When I decided on the RS-180 I bought it from J & R because their customer service is outstanding. The DVD product guide estimated an initial charge of up to 16 hours, but mine was ready for blastoff in about 7. That's what I wanted to do with this purchase, so mission accomplished. I have a friend that has an older set (HDR 130) of these head phones and I tried them out.
The kids are blessed with excellent hearing, while mine has been sub-standard most of my life. My wife and kids were constantly telling me to turn the volume down. I found that the bass had a decent punch, and was very clean. Past headphones I've used tend to have a muddy/blurry bass compared with the RS180. I can move anywhere in my apartment without losing the signal, which is good when I'm in my work shop or in the kitchen. I'm not limited to one room while I still get CD quality sound. So, I'm very happy to rate these headphones at an Excellent 5 stars out of 5. It took me a long time to pull the trigger on these headphones, but believe me it was well worth the money. The only thing coming through the headphones is a beautiful reproduction of the source material. The sound coming through these FAR surpasses anything coming out of my VIZIO Class XVT Series TruLED XVT472SV 47-Inch 240 Hz SPS LCD HDTV (Black). I should note that while I was listening to this selection I was moving around my approx. 1100 hem in an 1100 square foot apartment with no loss of fidelity at all.
If the game is going very well and lasting a long time I don't feel like my ears are rubbing off. If I had one suggestion it would be this, and forgive me because I'm an engineer. Once I got used to them, it's fairly easy to adjust without hitting the power button. These headphones are exactly what I wanted and I'm so glad they are lossless so I can listen to my music at CD quality.
It looks far better than the RS 120s or 130s. If you've got to look at them all the time then they should look good and these do. The Sennheiser RS 180 Headphones exceeded all of my requirements. There is ample room for over the ear hearing aids in the muffs if you need additional sound clarification and tweaking, but the sound quality is so great you don't really need them. The only "real" problem I've run into so far has to do with the charging time. They're supposed to be fully charged after 18 or 20 hours if I remember correctly.
If your source is turned up enough, you can fine-tune the volume on the back of the headphones with your right hand. Navigate around it with your right thumb as soon as you begin to use them and you'll be quickly acquainted.

They are excellent headphones for the price. I purchased these as a gift for my boyfriend, we both travel a great deal between the UK and US. wireless headphones for computer. I believe I might need to save for a set of noise-canceling closed-ear headphones. Would be nice it it had balance control. Wireless Headphones Review.
