For The Price They Are Sweet - Wireless Headphones Review Review

By Elizabeth Perry

My house is kind of small, but it's on two levels and there is nowhere I go in my house that I don't receive a clear signal. Sound is very good and bass response is quite acceptable for this type of open headphone. Third, I've generally been satisfied with the range of these headphones. I live in a 2 story, 2900 square-foot house, and I typically get reception just about anywhere in the house. I have never given anything five stars until this product came along. Having previously owned the earlier RS 160, I knew the quality of these "cans."

I've had these for a month or more. The have a beautifully comfortable fit, a high quality sound that reaches out to the end of my yard and everywhere in my house.

The headphones come with rechargeable batteries, which is a great addition for people who want to try out their new toy straight out of the box. So of course the boyfriend had to walk all over our apartment complex to see how far away from the station he would still be able to hear the television. Dialogue in some films gets lost or covered up by background sounds through my speakers, but not with these headphones. I can hear every word with these headphones; and base reproduction is outstanding. You will hear bullets in front of you, behind you, and to your right. They are great headphones and no regrets. I had original purchased the Sennheiser RS120 but wasn't thrilled with the lack of bass, volume levels and interference issues.

I found that the bass had a decent punch, and was very clean. Past headphones I've used tend to have a muddy/blurry bass compared with the RS180.

The sound quality has always been great relative to other headphones I have tried, and I had no reason to change to another model except for two things. First, the rotary volume control can easily change if you are lying down and make contact against the controls.

Good instructions and it looks very sleek and modern. Works fantastic.

With this easy modification, I give this headset a solid 5 STARS. Too bad Sennheiser didn't do this at the factory, but it is very easy to do at home. The sound of this headset is outstanding.

They worked really well, but were definitely lacking in sound quality, and had a handful of other shortcomings. I decided to spend more. He has done a disservice to his company, in my opinion. In conclusion, you won't be disappointed with the quality of sound and comfort of the 180's -- top notch. I bought these to use with Skype so I could move around or lay down on group calls and studies I participate in. I had tried a cheaper pair that I returned because they wouldn't connect.
