The LG Optimus One - Technology and Integration Design

By Daniel Greer

Cell phone, and now smart phone, manufacturers have a daunting task with new design models such as the LG Optimus One cell phone. Of course people want everything including the desire to avoid inconvenience. So the makers of phones have the task of a high amount of functionality that neatly fits in a shirt pocket. But all businesses have to make sacrifices in order to present the best product they can. So that is what we are looking at with the LG Optimus One, and we have some interesting information we think will be useful.

The design of the Optimus One will cater to people that need a quality smartphone. LG is the model name of this particular smartphone designed with Android components.

The Optimus One makes use of the common Android user interface which is termed, LG Home. It is very easy to customize so don't worry about a huge learning curve.

Let's take a quick look at the camera specs used in the LG Optimus One. First of all, it is a 3 MP type camera that produces photos of reasonable quality. Taking pictures in a dim light or at night will not be an option due to the lack of flash. If LG omitted the flash, you can be sure they did it in favor of something else. Part of those design issues are perhaps why the Optimus One is lacking in basic image stabilization. So just use the phone camera for shots that are not truly important to you.

Swype is the name of the technology that we are going to discuss next. In essence, it allows you to slide your fingers over text characters using modern hardware and software. So, with the Optimus One smart phone, you will have Swype capability with the keyboard that is displayed on the screen. The ability to swipe your fingers across your digital display, instead of specifically hitting individual keys, makes it so much easier. Your swiping is actually saved in the smartphones memory and recalled whenever you type something later on. This latest technology is actually able to store hundreds of words that are common within your usual texting each day.

The LG Optimus One cell phone reflects a common goal among all other manufacturers of smart phones. Getting the job done and the information back as fast as possible is the goal.
