All About Cloud Computing

By Roger Seely

Cloud computing is the utilization of servers that are hosted online and not offline. This service is divided into three different classes. There is the infrastructure based, the platform based and the software based as well. The name was coined from a cloud symbol that is used to represent the web in flow charts and diagrams for IT systems.

This service is completely different from ordinary hosting in three aspects. First, it is offered for sale by demand, meaning that it can be purchased when required. It is also flexible, which means that a user can have as much as they would like or as little as they would like as well. An added benefit is the fact that it's controlled by the provider and the user does not have to manage anything.

Cloud computing can either be public or private. A public cloud sells to any user on the internet. A private cloud, on the other hand, supplies the service to a designated number of users or firms. When a provider uses public resources to form a private cloud, the end result is a private cloud which is virtual and which hopes to provide simple access to computing resources.

This hosting has several benefits over standard hosting. First off, it enables the user to have software and hardware files stored in a remote place. In reality, many people are nowadays using cloud computing without really knowing it. This is from the use of e-mail suppliers like Gmail and communication tools like Skype.

Another benefit with cloud computing is the undeniable fact that it can be fast when compared to standard hosting. It is also inexpensive and not labor intensive, which is a benefit to most users. Another advantage with it is the fact that it is offered online which gives any user the privilege of having any amount of storage required.
