Regardless of what you choose to do for a living It is easy to focus on the bad points of your job rather than the good. Those who work in IT are no exception to the rule. This article looks at some of the biggest benefits of working in IT.

One big plus point is that you get to meet lots of new people. Working in a large organisation as part of the IT team means that you will come into contact with lots of people within the organisation.

The money you could earn whilst working in IT is really good. The fact is that IT will never be an industry that dies.

It is fairly easy to move around once you have been working in IT for a while. If you become bored with one job it is often fairly easy to move into a new area of IT. For example lots of network administrators and database administrators switch between the two roles.

You have a freedom to plan your own work load. It's rare that IT workers have to clock in or take scheduled breaks.

There is an element of job satisfaction as you get to help people, solving an IT problem for somebody can be quite rewarding.

As well as having quite a lot of freedom t work you also often get to spend a lot of time out of the office learning new things and attending technical conferences and training events. Often technical events are held in big cities with lots going on after work hours.

IT jobs tend not to be monotonous. Although every job has some elements of repetition IT workers are often required to solve problems and face fresh challenges on a daily basis.

Another great perk to working in IT is having access to lots of the latest tools, software and gadgets. Trying out the latest technology before your company decide to buy it is a definite bonus.

IT knowledge can be handy out of the office too- in everyday life. Being able to use hardware and software and help out friends is bound to be rewarding.
