Razer Blade Video Game Notebook Continuously Sold Out

By Fausto Mendez

Sales look good for Razer's new gaming machine. The Blade gaming laptop was set to re-launch on the 29th of Feb because the company sold out of stock the same day it launched in late January. Again, Razer sold out when the laptop re-launched mid February to an avid audience. Stock sold out well before the day ended in each case.

Clearly, the company is breaking new ground with the Blade's experimental features, but it is misleading precisely how well the laptop is selling. It's possible that Razer is holding back or under producing stock to make news. Of course, we're just speculating, and we don't have any proof that is occurring.

But maybe folk are really interested. Our subscription service counted 143 subscribers just prior to the Feb 29th re-launch, and that is more than we counted just before the mid February relaunch. And those are just the game players that visited our tiny, independent operation. It's got to be creating waves everwhere else too.

The feeling from reviewers around web seems to be that the Razer Blade performs decently well, occasionally impressively well, but the price tag recommends you'd get more boom out this box. And that is unhappily disheartening. For example, the speakers are stupidly poor even for a laptop, and that is inexcusable from a company that is famous for caring about minute details.

Plus, gaming performance is acceptable although not amazing for the price, and yet the battery can't even last for an hour when gaming with all of the settings on max. Of course, you can just plug it in, and that's ok for a lot of folks. It'd be adequate for us, we admit.

The beauty of the machine is its capability to help you to game on the go, and it's likely a great Windows workstation too. But since Apple's latest notebooks offer amazing battery charge lifespan, we agree that your cash is perhaps better used on a fresh MacBook Pro unless PC gaming is extremely crucial to you. Naturally, our dream scenario is to have both. It can't hurt to have a spare Blade lying around when the StarCraft 2 addiction resurfaces on the weekends.
