Kindle Fire Tablet Comparison - Is It Really the iPad Killer?

By Krish Rock

How computers work can be very foreign to many people. Most people just log on and go about doing whatever they need or want to do on their computers. They never give a second thought to how they are able to do what they are doing.

With so many tablets available on the market, let's do a Kindle Fire Tablet comparison. How Does The Fire Stack Up Against The Other Tablets? The most well-known tablet by far is the Apple iPad. So for this report we'll focus on how Fire compares specifically to the iPad. It should be noted that coming in a close second are tablets running Google's Android operating system. This is important to note as Fire also runs on the Android Platform.

Current Features Then iPhone enters the market that has a specialized mobile operating system, the iOS4. The iPhone has two cameras, one on the back and one on the front. This is called the facetime feature of iPhone4. One can toggle between these two camera modes with the use of a single touch.

The camera at the back has a resolution of five megapixels and the front has a VGA resolution (0.3 megapixel). Also included is an LED flash that helps in the times of bad lighting. The incredible feature of this iPhone application version is the 5x zoom option. The recording of videos is also done in High Definition (HD) with a resolution of 720 pixels and the same 30 frames per second. The front side camera has a lesser VGA resolution of the same frame frequency. It probably sounds like the ultimate gadget to have but there is more to it with the introduction of iOS5, an advanced mobile operating system.

This OS has the camera application with enhanced features like photo composition with grid lines, autofocus and auto exposure. It may be just a phone, but Apple does not like to leave any stone unturned even in its camera application.

Kindle Fire vs Apple's iPad When It Comes To Price Price is clearly where Amazon's Fire beats Apple's iPad by a couple of miles! Fire is priced at $199.00. The iPad is priced between $499.00 and $699.00. Any way you look at it, that's a huge advantage when it comes to consumers. The economy has many tightening their purse strings. But the appetite for new innovative technology seems to be healthy in spite of the economy. There's no denying that $199.00 price tag makes the Kindle Fire a really "hot" buy. (Sorry couldn't resist that!) So there you have it. The Kindle Fire compared to the iPad could be an excellent choice depending on whether or not certain features are a must have for you. If you prefer the "extras" from iPad and don't mind the much higher price tag, then maybe that's a better option.

Review This feature of the iPhone is indeed commendable for its futuristic technology and ease of use. It is notably easy to handle, even by a layman who knows nothing about technology. Such is the extent of the people-understanding of the iPhone developers that they have designed this wonderful camera application and is complete unique to the iPhone.
