A Quick Overview Of The Android Smart Functions On The LG Optimus

By Samantha Montague Xavier

There are so many industries that thrive on creativity and smart use of technology, and if you look at the LG LG you will see an excellent example of this. Of course people want everything including the desire to avoid inconvenience. So the makers of phones have the task of a high amount of functionality that neatly fits in a shirt pocket. But all businesses have to make sacrifices in order to present the best product they can. Not surprisingly, you will find this principle at work in the Optimus which we will discuss.

Smartphone manufacturers and retailers are really moving toward phones that are designed like the LG LG. The LG does not have an all metal exterior casing, but rather it is plastic with some redeeming characteristics. The phone has a sufficiently pleasing feel and weight to it, and it is not overpowering with its weight. People with large hands may have a small bit of difficulty utilizing some of the functions on this phone. For the most part, this phone is very easy to use and can accommodate a large variety of people. Still, the construction is certainly adequate and should not be an issue.

Before this smart phone was the Optimus which was a prototype to the current model. One enhancement that was made was the addition of a new and faster processor for the entire system. You will find many other features that are fairly standard such as capabilities for taking photographs and shooting video. Taking pictures requires external lighting with this particular smartphone. The quality of the display is also nothing to brag about although it is comparable to average smart phones today. Operating systems for mobile devices are still relatively new, and this phone uses Google's Android software. What you will receive in this smart phone is V2.2 of the Android OS, and the feedback from users has been encouraging. Browser loading times are reasonably fast and should be more than adequate for most people. If there is any criticism, then it mainly applies to very special situations. As you know, some sites have many images and other graphics that place a high demand, and that is where you could experience reduced loading performance. Another area concerns the processing speed and power. The Optimus One processor will be great for practically all uses, it is a 600 MHz processor, but just take a look at what you normally do and gauge it the best you can.

The browser capability with the LG Optimus One is above average, and an additional convenience factor is the multi-touch capability in the display. Still, even though it is a solid browser, you can still find higher end browsers on the better cameras. Interestingly, this browser can be easily zoomed in by simply using a pinching action. When you perform zooming operations, the text will resize itself to fit the screen. We have already stated that a little more processing power would be desirable, and that is evident with heavy graphics websites. The performance can get dragged down when dealing with graphics intensive browsing.

Those that purchased the original version of this smartphone will find the LG Optimus One a great improvement. Unfortunately, most people will never be satisfied regardless of the quality they receive. For example, Flash enthusiasts will find the Optimus One to be lacking in processing power. As long and you can surf the web and call friends and family, you should be happy with this phone despite its inability to use flash.

Obviously, there are lots of brand names to pick from in terms of getting a cell phone. This is exactly why increasing numbers of people are choosing Samsung. The quality is substantial, and the price is low. Check with your local dealer for more information.
