Naturally after Steve Jobs passed Apple devices became more predominant than ever. An authorized biography has been released by the likes of Walter Isaacson which surprisingly has critics giving solid reviews. In the bio readers can take a larger look into the mind of Steven Jobs and why many label him as a legend of our time having modified the face of the computer industry for ever and ever.
There are by nature 1 or 2 highlights of the bio that many might find interesting. Of all of the Apple devices on the market lately one can not help but be curious as to how the name Apple was hatched. Apparently Mr. Jobs was on a fruit diet during that time of his life and had been helping manage some apple trees. After coming back from his daily activities he hatched the name Apple referencing that he felt it warmed people to the idea of harsh word of computer. He noted that it felt fun, spirited and took the intimidation out of the field of home computers which the globe was not yet familiar with.
A different aspect in the bio that was noted was why Steve just about always was sporting a black turtleneck. The turtleneck naturally became a trademark of sorts in that he was rarely ever seen out without one. These black turtleneck shirts supposedly were a result of a trip to Sony in the early 1980s which affected Steve. He was fond of the concept of a dress code and shortly attempted to implement one consisting of vests for his staff. The concept eventually was scrapped however Jobs asked the stylist to make a black turtleneck for him as a uniform or signature style piece. Steve himself allegedly noted that it was both for day to day convenience but also to convey a singular style.
One rather interesting bit of the book reveals that Steve was more than unsatisfied with Barack Obama. Having aided Obama with advertisements in his run for president he was irritated about the fact that the President was doing what he felt was a bad job as a leader in part because he supposedly was afraid to offend or upset people according to the firery CEO. Jobs allegedly was so adamant about this that he had a 45 minute meeting with the Obama in which he conveyed the fact that unless the President amended is policies and his ways that he was heading towards a 1 term administration.
Being that Apple desktops and laptops were the complete opposite of what most makers where selling which was cheap desktop PCs developed Apple gained a cult type of following by providing arguably the best computers on the market . Steve undoubtedly was an excellent marketing pro whose fans avidly followed Apple's each move. It is noted in the book the abrasive Jobs was frankly depressed when the iPad first hit the scene to a disappointing approval. While the iPad has since become the tablet device to have and has sold untold numbers of units the reception was halfhearted at best. Steve noted that it rather rattled him that the public were not more enthusiastic about the unit. It shows that at the day's end irrespective of how tough Steve could be he still was human just like everyone else.
