Is there any future for the Ipad?

By Becky Anderson

Since its inception, Apple has changed the globe. We like to believe that Personal computer was created by Windows, but it's a fact that the first pc was produced by Apple and Steve Jobs. Without Steven Jobs the world would look different. We may not have cellphones, net, PayPal, EBay, Amazon, Google, GPS and Angry Birds. The PC speeded up the development of technology and transferred a large amount of power from the giant firms like IBM to the individuals like Dell and Bill Gates. These folks laid the foundation of the world as it is understood. The world has changed for the sake of the individual around the world.

There was a time when the future of technology was predictable. We knew that we could make something with the steam engine and that was a giant machine, which would help us with manual labour. With the new technologies we don't know the way in which the world will look like in 10 years ' time. Are Google and now Facebook the last 2 huge corporations that've been built from scratch? Is this the end of the progress? Probably not. These firms were built on the ashes of the first Internet bubble.

With the upward push of a new product from Apple, the Ipad, the world has changed again. Apple not only gave us the Ipad, it also told us that there's an App for that. Just consider it, there's an App for almost everything. You install it, if you want it and after use you just remove it, without having an impact on the effectiveness of the Ipad.

The Ipad and the Programs gave the people the possibility to think up the Angry Birds and a hundred other spin-offs. If you would have told anybody 10 years back about a game in which you shoot pigs with birds, then no one would have believed it. It would have sounded mad if you were told that the owners of Annoyed Birds earn millions a week, just from adverts.

Hence the world has gone funny. No-one knows what will come in 10 years ' time. Ipad will probably seem like a dinosaur and will likely be shown on the History channel. Google and Facebook will be purchased by another company, who wants to use their data in their bigger and better search site. But will there be a search engine left in 10 years ' time? Who knows, the world will turn into a bit more more crazy again.
