People everywhere are talking about the iPad. Past fears about how well the newest gadget from Apple would be accepted have vanished. Of course there are quite a few people still sitting on the fence trying to decide if it is really worth the money. This is a choice that will ultimately be yours to make alone but this article might help you come to that conclusion.

Getting an iPad is a good idea if you like reading e-books. E-Readers like the Nook and Kindle don't have the same LCD screen as an iPad which is bright and good for your eyes. Not only can you get an app for the Kindle, but Apple has its very own online bookstore. If you will only use the iPad for reading e-books, it will be more expensive than the other e-readers. Only the iPad offers features such as access to the internet and the ability to play games and watch videos. There is a unique Marvel Comic app which allows you to read your favorite comic books and enjoy the high definition illustrations and many comic book fans like this. Gamers will really appreciate the ability you'll have to play games on the iPad. 3D games look amazing on the high quality screen of the iPad. However, serious gamers have found that gaming on these devices isn't as intuitive or simple as playing with a keyboard, mouse, or wheel on an actual computer. But, there is something in the works, the iCade that will allow iPad owners to enjoy a more comprehensive environment for gaming. Hardcore gamers will enjoy limited gaming capabilities on the iPad until this new accessory is launched.

Some websites however won't play on this device as it does not support the flash they use. However, this isn't as big of a problem as you might think, as there's an app built into the iPad that lets you watch YouTube videos, the biggest flash site of all.

You have a lot of access to free videos too via internet sites like YouTube. Unlike other streamed devices the iPad's high quality images are top notch.

It can be thought of as laptop and phone hybrid, with features found nowhere else. While some consumers have complaints about what the iPad can't do, such as take pictures, others love the simple interface and high definition screen.
