What I See For The Future Of Online Gaming

By Kerry Collins

There is no denying that we are living in an exciting time. When we compare the technology we have now to what we had two decades ago it is truly mind boggling. I have a feeling that over the next two decades, the same thing will happen.

I predict that some of the most exciting developments are going to be connected to online gaming. This type of entertainment is going to change beyond recognition.

These are just some of the things that I predict will happen in this area

Online gaming is bound to improve tenfold. We will no longer need a games console because of these advances. The web is going to speed up a lot in the coming years and there will be nothing preventing developers from creating fabulous games that make the best use of all available technology. This change is going to happen fast so do not waste your money on more console games.

In the future you will no longer play a gaming character but instead become that character. The games are going to be fully immersive and we will therefore be stepping into the game. With everything being so realistic, it is expected that there will be a whole new level of entertainment. I reckon that some people will spend too much time in these virtual worlds and there will be an outcry about it.

I believe that over the next few decades, we will no longer have any line between movies, social media and gaming. We will no longer just passively watch movies but instead take part in them. We will be able to affect the storyline by interacting with the characters. We can have more fun by being joined in the movie by the people we know. Because of the social and gaming potential of these movies, there will be hundreds of hours of potential entertainment on offer.
