There is always this one big game of the year that will be released for the games of the Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network. Remember the games of the past like the Call of Duty Black Ops? This year, one of those games have reborn and of course with a new name, "Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3".
There are so many people who automatically got excited when the Modern Warfare 3 was announced. The predecessors of these games totally hit the gamers' world but when the Modern Warfare 2 has been released, things seem to change. Infinity Ward, the developers behind the game, brought up a rebellion against Activision (their publisher) over some unpaid bonuses. This caused a little trouble with the released game. Two of the project leaders of the Infinity Ward quit namely Jason West and Vincent Zampella quit the team along with many of their coworkers. A lot of people has expected that there will be no more infinity ward. But it turned out to be a surprise when it was announced that the Modern Warfare 3 will be coming out in the market. And most of all, it will be coming out in the Holiday Season. The difference in this time now is that the multiplayer will be handled by a different developer. Sledgehammer will take care of the multiplayer aspect of this game. The single player will then be handled by the Infinity Ward.
The loss of the Infinity Ward is something that really bothers to the fans of the Modern Warfare game. They are thinking that the present members are not as capable as the previous once who quit.No matter what happens, this Modern Warfare 3 will still be the biggest game in 2011. The name and reputation alone of the game will lead to its success. Millions of copies are still expected to be sold. It has been observed too that there are already forums all about the MW3 over the internet and gamers communities. As of the moment, there have been tens of thousands of people who are searching for it on Google.
By holiday 2011, the sure thing about this promotion is that Activision will throw more about the game. It will likely start at e3 like it did last year with Black Ops, and continue on for months. It can be expected that by November this year, more and more gamers will be interested in buying the game. It will sell like an ice cream especially for the Xbox Live and PSN fanatics.
The holiday season is coming' and if you are a parent, this is a wonderful present for your kids that are over 17. They will really be happy with this very exciting game.
