With all the choices out there it may be almost over whelming while looking at Acer laptops and hard drives for everyday computing. The Aspire AS5253 Series Laptop boasts a timeless design coupled together with an AMD E-Series processor. Looking at the design characteristics one gets a minimalistic feeling. It could be difficult to believe this laptop could possibly be mistaken for a luxury type machine. It does have its positive points though. The textured crosshatch pattern over the lid and body makes this notebook very easy to grip and also helps it helps resist those pesky fingerprints.
This computer measures roughly 15 X 10 X 1.3 and weighs around 5 pounds, making quite portable considering it comes with a 15 inch view screen. It has 2 speakers for the sound and some status lights which are dissimilar colors being its only true flourish. Basically the look is fairly plain but also quite functional.
Typing is a breeze on this machine. It features the standard Acer fine tip keyboard. This has flattened keys that are placed in an island type layout. It has large keys that have lots of travel. An added bonus is the full numeric keypad nestled nicely on the right hand side.
Although being a budget model, it possesses a good port layout. Standard equipment is 3 USB 2.0 ports, 1 HDMI port, 1 VGA port, and one Ethernet port. Also included are headphone and a microphone jack for music or movies. It also has an ease of use SD card reader built into the left front, and a super multi DVD type drive built in to the right side.
Most people looking for looking at budget notebooks do not have a lot of money to waste on frills. If they take a moment and look at Acer laptops and hard drives they may be pleasantly surprised. With their overall performance and urban functionally these computers are difficult to beat.
