Also, some keyboard shortcuts are now gone. There does not appear to be any way to customize the icons or keyboard shortcuts so that I have my most desired actions available in the account ledger.
It has been double posting transactions from my bank (BBVA Compass) since day one. They were unresponsive.
Felt as if they held my updates for ransom. Other than that it is a good tool for keeping up with your business. You will waste your time calling these guys, and end up extremely frustrated since they will have no clue what you are talking about or why you called. This software is really better for somewhat tech oriented people who can search forums, etc. All that to say that Quicken is like a zippy sports car compared to an old clunker. It's intuitive, easy to use and to our great surprise gives us everything we need to track our various businesses and satisfy our accountant. My bank says they are a small institution and cannot afford the upgrade. So, I am manually entering my transactions. My biggest disappointment is the tremendous amount of time that I waste trying to figure out how the software will let me download statements this time (or if it will allow me to do so at all). There is no consistency.
I still need to learn more about Quicken and its intricacies but so far it's a winner! I really thought that Microsoft Money was a great product, even though I had some issues over the years of the product freezing for unknown reasons during sessions. For example I have not yet found a way to chart income and expense on a monthly basis on the same chart without having it double count transfers between accounts. Second, today, Quicken popped-up an advertisement for a credit card before opening the software. The navigation completely changed which is OK if it is improved - it is a mess. Single click update often fails on my US Bank accounts and I have to do each one separately and type in my challenge questions about 8 times. I plan on contacting Quicken for a solution. I definitely recommend the software but Quicken could stand to make it more flexible and easier to perform some operations.
It also doesn't provide more than three months' worth of downloads from your bank in the US, which means (for example) if you buy it in January hoping it can help you do last year's tax return, it can't. Customer service is slow and not particularly helpful.
I'm nearly certain I've used better Intuit products in years gone by, but maybe not. I'm writing this right now because I've just tried to print a check register twice so I can try to figure out why my Quicken balance is different than my Wells Fargo balance. I try to download transactions from one particular (very big bank) and I always get the message "Sorry, we encounter an error. It's not your fault", Then whose fault it is"
It also converted all the old transactions/downloads from the old data, which took a while as well. I've been using Quicken since 2001, so I had plenty of data for it to convert.

As far as I can tell Quicken offers at least the same choices of online banking that MS-Money did, if not more. auto repair quotes.
