In the 1960's, effects for this instrument was introduced. There were more than one of this kind but the most popular was the foot pedal or stomp box. Eventually, modern amplifiers became available. Most amplifiers now come with digital technology to re-create effects of the stomp box and introduce more effects and their combinations. They also emulate the sound of the older classic amps.

Usually, the typical guitar player plays pop music. He may also make his own song. Then he goes ahead by recording the music and maybe sell to a record label company or upload in the internet for fun or for profit. In all this, computer soft-wares significantly make the task so much easier and faster and affordable, and even more conveniently as a home recording.

With many valuable gadgets and guitar software today, a musician can be more creative with his music. The computer programs come with a newly bought electronic device or they are available as a stand-alone musical tool. A simple midi gets one hooked up increasing his capability to create a masterpiece.
