Gaming Console is an interactive entertainment PC or modified PC system that produces a video display to your TV or monitor to display the video game it processes. Most consoles support HD prepared or full HD that enables you to play computer games in top quality video and sound. The new generation that we are going to be going into will be the most inspiring as 3D will be taking over.

The gaming consoles purpose is mainly to play video games, but you can play movies, music and watch pictures. All new consoles now a day are being installed with Wi-Fi and feature an Ethernet port to access the Internet through a wireless router or access point which is hooked up to your cable. So allowing you to play online computer console games on your console and also peruse the Net.

You'll find that there are 1 or 2 different consoles. The hottest ones are Play Station 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii, each one of them comes with their own kind of remote controller. The console will have an incorporated drive that saves all the games you need to save, if the hard drive has reached its maximum capacity you can make backups using the USB (Universal Serial Bus) port connecting a flash drive or external disk drive to the console.

Each gaming consoles have their own specific operating system and processor showing different gaming quality and speed. Each Nintendo game that is designed will only work on that categorical console depending on the creation. There are certain video games that will only work on certain consoles, and some video games will work on all consoles.

So if you would like to buy games that interest you, you'll have to take in consideration which console you will need to play the Playstation game with.
