Maintenance Software Today

By Elias Wayne

It is tedious and time-consuming to manually fill-out ledgers that detail when preventative maintenance was last performed on every machine your company owns. Now, though, you no longer need to maintain these records by-hand. There are all sorts of maintenance management software suites available to help you organize the preventative maintenance needs of your organization.

Some of these programs are available for free from open-source software development companies. These programs are best for people who understand the basics of software development and know they can resolve any major glitches without help. Open-source software companies provide all of their programs at no cost to the end-user, so they typically have little, if any, revenue. Thus, these development firms generally don't provide over-the-phone customer support. You can instead post any problems you are having to an online forum and other end-users will provide solutions that have worked for them. Some of these users are extremely knowledgable, but open-source software is still not the best choice for people who are not comfortable using computers.

You should choose to buy your maintenance management program if you think you will need to use the developer's customer support often. Maintenance management software is sold at a variety of costs, so you should easily be able to find something within your desired price range that fits your needs. Also, since these development firms have plenty of revenue, they typically update their software on a regular schedule.

Online maintenance management solutions are another option you can choose from. This is the ideal maintenance management option if your employees often travel or work from their residences. This can also be an advantageous choice if your business has offices in multiple locations that need to have the ability to use the same maintenance management program. Web-based options are not the best solution if you need your maintenance management solution to be highly customizable, as they do not provided the same individualized features as standard software.

The standard functionality of all maintenance management software is essentially the same, no matter which form you opt to use. The primary purpose of this software is to provide your company's maintenance crew with an easy way to schedule preventative maintenance jobs for every piece of machinery your company owns. Not only does this allow the maintenance workers to keep track of the jobs they need to perform each day, but other employees can view the maintenance calendar ahead of time to see when machines they use will be out-of-order.

If you are struggling to decide which type of maintenance management software your company should use, speak to a trusted vendor. It may be possible for the vendor to give you demo versions of multiple software options that you can use for a short time in your facility.

Why I like to play classic games?

By Becky Anderson

PC games have been around for decades now. I initially began playing PC games on my commodore 64. I had to load the games from a cassette. These games were simple to play. I remember playing Bubble Bobble, Ultima IV, Bruce Lee, Armalyte and a lot more. We used to have a joystick with one or 2 buttons and that is it. No directions were needed and there was not any complex story. Here under I have explored some of the popular games from the 1990?s.

Occasionally it is difficult to find those classic games and play these on the modern computer. It's not the same feeling. The games makers have developed new and better versions of these classic games. While playing these modern games you continue to recognize the old Commodore games in them.

Many of us have also played solitaire, minesweeper, Tetris and ski free at the office when the boss wasn't having a look at us or when there were not any buyers waiting at the customer desk. My favorite used to be Tetris. There were a lot of versions of this game.

There's one classic game that continues to be played on many consoles and computers. It is the Mario Bros. There are numerous versions of it, but it is still popular among the youngsters who are used to play games like Modern Warfare. Everyone has attempted these old games ones in a while.

I've found you can still play these old games on many websites for free and also on the new android phones. You can download many favored games on your telephone and play. The classic games can be played on many web sites and are available as flash games. Some still have the usual look and music.

The classic games have been used as a starting point for the modern games like Mass Effect 3 and Skyrim. Eventually we'll forget these games, but I believe that they merit a place in our history books and should not be forgotten. The arena of entertainment as we know has its base in games we used to play on our Commodore and Atari PCs.
